Coach Of the Year for Season XI goes to...

This was a special season for Luck as he became just the second person to repeat as MPL Champ. He was dominant on both offense and defense during his title defense. Leo did what it took and more to prove that he was season XI "Coach of the Year."

The Best Team Award for Season XI goes to...

The best team for season XI was the winner of the MPL Bowl. The Redskins were led by the now two time MPL champ, Outofluck. This is Luck's second award as this season solidified him as one of MPL's all time greats on the sticks. Washington really proved to everyone that they were Season XI's "Best Team."

The Best Offense Award for Season XI goes to...

Luck is just racking up the awards for Season XI. The Redskins offense was the most potent in the league as they could beat you in any imaginable way. Whether by a quick strike or a long, time consuming drive, the Redskins offense was masterful. There is no other team that is more deserving of the title of Season XI's "Best Offense."

The Best Defense Award for Season XI goes to...

Ethan came up short of another MPL title but it wasn't because of his defense. The Texans were among the stingest in terms of giving up points this season. The attacking style that translated to more wins than losses earned Ethan the award for Season XI's "Best Defense."

The Most Improved Award for Season XI goes to...

There was a tie for this seasons Most Improved award. While it's surprising to see such a stellar player such as Sully being named as improved, it's because season X was low in the win column compared to past seasons. MZ seemed to really turn the corner this season, perhaps it had a lot to do with the team that he was able to play with but regardless of what team he was using, MZ brought it each and every game. The progress shown by both players was recognized by their peers as they were voted as being Season XI's "Most Improved."

The Best Trash Talker Award for Season XI goes to...

Houtz reclaims his spot as most reviled poster, aka best trash talker. He was always there to mix it up whenever there was something to be said and he never disappointed when given an opportunity to rip into somebody. Houtz will be very proud to reclaim his throne as MPL's "Best Trash Talker."

The Most Surprising Award for Season XI goes to...

It's not often that a little know newcomer to the MPL comes in and goes undefeated in his rookie season. Not only did Cowboy go undefeated in the regular season, he was able to make it to the MPL against eventual 2 time champion Leo. Those Texans certainly were Season X's "Most Surprising."

The Most Dedicated Award for Season XI goes to...

As it normally goes, the person that is in charge of maintaining the league gets the recognition for being the most dedicated. There are a lot of people that do a lot of things for the MPL so Obmij76 shares this award with all of those that have put forth time and effort in making this the league that it is.

The Most Classy Award for Season XI goes to...

It's a back to back for Remo. He stayed in the AFC West and picked up his second consecutive award for being the league's most classy participant. The MPL is truly lucky to have Remo in the league as he sets the standard for class in the league.

The Most Exciting Team Award for Season XI goes to...

The Vikings didnt put up the most points in the league but their games were always on the league's radar to see what the results were. While Minnesota came out with the victory 90% of the time, the manner in which they won was always captivating. Congrats to Trusion's Vikings on being named Season XI's "Most Exciting Team."

The Most Old School Award for Season XI goes to...

What would the Old School award be without Mark being named the winner. Congrats yet again goes to Mark for being named Season XI's "Most Old School."

Most Creative Poster Award for Season XI goes to...

There's a new winner in the creative poster category and it goes to Luck. Whether it was his trash talking or odd remarks to random things, he could always be counted on to be creative. It was always amusing to read what Leo had to say. Congrats Leo on being named Season XI's "Most Creative Poster."

Best Newcomer for Season XI goes to...

It took a little while Cowboy925 to become a member of the MPL but once he was able to take the reigns of a team, he absolutely cruised. Cowboy took the Giants all the way to the MPL bowl in his rookie season, with made him an easy winner of Season XI's "Best Newcomer."

The Biggest Disappointment Award for Season XI goes to...

The Lions certainly didnt fit the mold of a team that suits Houtz's abilities. Even though the Lions werent exactly world beaters, this award for Houtz has as much to do with his self-hype as it does with everyone elses actual expectations. Season XI was truly a disappointment for Houtz.

"The 1976 Bucs" Award for Season XI goes to...

The Panthers get this season dubious distinction as the most futile team in the MPL. Mark fought hard in every game but unfortunately came up short far more than he came out on top. The Panthers get the most votes for Season XI's "1976 Bucs Award."

The Best Post Game Recaps Award for Season XI goes to...

Leo did a great job of providing an in depth account of each of his games and was always sure to add a witty twist. Leo deserves Season XI's award for "Best Post Game Recaps."

The Most Talkative Award for Season XI goes to...

Superpunk gets the upset win over Houtz this season, breaking a 2 season streak for the man of many negative words. SP does a great job of being active on the forums and we hope he keeps it up for seasons to come.

The Best Sig Award for Season XI goes to...

The MPL community could always count on some interesting sigs coming from Superpunk. Whether it was the Houtz is my daddy sig, the Sean Taylor sig or the barbarian sig, SP always sports some memorable sigs. Congrats on having Season XI's "Best Sigs."

The Game of the Year for MPL XI....

** Game Recap As Written By Cowboy **

The #1 seed New York Giants, fresh off of their win over Jim’s Rams, hosted the Dallas Cowboys, right after they took care of Sully’s Bucs. This game was to decide the fate or destiny of both teams as the winner would face the Washington Redskins in MPL Bowl XI.

1st Quarter:
The Giants lost the toss and received the ball to start the game. First handoff Brandon Jacobs fumbled. The Giants recovered and got a first down, but a couple plays later on his next carry he fumbled and Anthony Henry returned it to the endzone. 7-0 Cowboys

The Giants got the ball back after their disasterous first drive and decide that if they’re going to win this game, it’ll be the opposite of the last game and it will be time to let it fly. They drove down the field and then backup FB Madison Hedgecock ran it in for the TD to tie it up 7-7.

The Cowboys began to drive with their offense for the first time primarily through the air and 1 good run by Marion Barber. The quarter ended after they got into the redzone.

2nd Quarter:
The first play of the quarter Romo hit Crayton in the endzone to give the Cowboys the lead 14-7.

The Giants received the ball again, and after a good return they were near midfield. Eli hit Plaxico Burress and moved the ball into the redzone. A couple plays later it was first & goal and Ahmad Brashaw took the toss right and got the last couple yards for the TD. 14-14 Tied

The Giants defense finally clamped down and forced a Cowboys 3 & out.

The Giants took little time, as once again they took to the air and on a 2nd down Eli Manning hit Ahmad Bradshaw on a screen and he took it 26 yards for the touchdown to give the Giants their first lead 21-14.

The Cowboys moved down the field very quickly and once at midfield Tony Romo hit TO, while the Giants were in the middle of an audible, and TO took it 46 yards to pay dirt with 1:33 left in the half. 21-21 tied.

Eli Manning felt he still had some magic left and the Giants ran their two minute offense, but unfortunetally for them it only took 1 minute as Eli Manning hit Plaxico Burress, who made a spectacular catch in the middle of the endzone, to give the Giants the lead 28-21 with still :37 left in the half.

The TD was unfortunate because Dallas still had time to put points up and Nick Folk hit the fieldgoal to end the half. 28-24 Giants

3rd Quarter:
After the won toss to start the game the Cowboys were able to start the 2nd half only down by 4, hoping they could take the lead again. The Giants were having none of it though, as they forced the 2nd punt of the day.

The Giants had relatively good field position after the poor punt. After a couple first downs Eli had a blitz coming and he just got the ball out to Derrick Ward and he took it to paydirt for Eli’s 3rd passing touchdown of this game. 35-24 Giants

The Cowboys knew they had to score in order to stay at a decent distance away from the Giants on the scoreboard. They slowed down the clock and took their time moving down the field. Marion Barber probably had the most touches he had all game on this drive, and the Cowboys, to their credit, were able to convert some 3rd & longs. As the quarter would wind down the Cowboys were once again on the Giants goal line and Oliver Hoyte punched it in. Then after that the Giants came out in the normal field goal block, but were surprised to see the Cowboys in a 5 WR bunch formation. The Cowboys got the easy 2 on an out route. 35-32 Giants.

4th Quarter:
The Giants took their time moving down the field, but once in the Cowboy’s redzone Eli Manning made his only mistake of the day and threw a flat intended for Derrick Ward, but since the screen didn’t show it, Eli had no idea Anthony Henry was waiting in the wings and picked off the pass and stopped the Giants drive on the opposing 6 yard line.

It was the Cowboys turn to take the lead in the fourth quarter and they burned almost the entire clock and the Giants had to use one of their timeouts, but Julius Jones scored the go ahead touchdown with: 51 left on the clock to put the Cowboys up 39-35.

The Giants felt a bit of déjà vu as they had to make another game winning drive in the last seconds of the game, this time they had 1 minute less, but they did have 2 timeouts. The coach motivated the receiving corps on the sidelines and told them “leave it all out on the field”. After the return to the 25 the Giants offense took the field for the final drive of the game. The Giants moved downfield and stopped the clock and used their last timeout with :21 left on the clock and they were at the Cowboys 40 yard line. Eli tried to hurl one towards the endzone, but it was deflected and it fell incomplete. The next play he hit Steve Smith on a crossing route and he got out of bounds at the 24 with :09 left on the clock. Eli hurled it towards the endzone towards Plaxico Burress, but it was knocked away and the Giants were down to their last play. They lined up in a shotgun formation, with bunch left and a lone receiver out right. Eli snapped the ball and the clock hit 0’s, the pocket held and Eli threw a laser to Jeremy Shockey on a post and he caught it at the 1 yard line and was pushed into the endzone by Cowboy defenders FOR THE WIN!!!

Final Score:
New York Giants 42
Dallas Cowboys 39
